Mit dem Global Jumping wird ein internationales Springreitturnier im Juli seine Premiere in Berlin feiern.
Berlin ist neben dem Deutschen Springderby einzige deutsche Station der höchstdotierten Springsport-Serie mit insgesamt 15 Stationen in 12 Ländern. Das geht aus einer Mitteilung des Weltverbandes FEI vom 09. Januar 2017 hervor. Das Fünf-Sterne-Turnier im Sommergarten unter dem Funkturm ist die elfte Station der prestigeträchtigen Longines Global Champions Tour und Global Champions League.

Damit reiht sich die deutsche Hauptstadt in einen Riege illustrer Austragungsorte ein. Olympiasieger, Welt- und Europameister, Weltcup-Gewinner und viele der besten Reiter und Pferde der Welt werden nun auch in Berlin für diese Serie punkten können.
