2017 findet die Bambi-Verleihung, wie bereits 2016 und 2015, im Stage-Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin statt. In den Vorjahren waren Düsseldorf und Wiesbaden Schauplatz der Fernsehgala. In Berlin wurde das Rehkitz zum sechsten Mal verliehen, nach 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 und 2014. Der Bambi ist der älteste und einer der wichtigsten deutschen Medienpreise. Er wird vom Verlagshaus Burda vergeben.
