Sedigheh Farah arbeitet seit 35 Jahren in der Cäcilien Apotheke am Amtsgericht, im Herzen von Berlin Charlottenburg.
Sie hat die Apotheke vor 15 Jahren von Ihrer Vorgängerin übernommen. Trotz des großen Apotheken-Sterbens in Berlin, vor allem bei den beliebten Kiez-Apotheken, hat sie es geschafft, den Erhalt der Apotheke zu sichern und trotz der schwierigen Lage mit massiver Konkurrenz der großen Apotheken-Ketten und starker Werbung von Online-Apotheken, diese Kiez-Institution an die nächste Generation weiterzugeben.
Sedigheh, genannt Suri, Farah ist in den 70er Jahren im Rahmen eines Austauschprogramms nach Deutschland gekommen und hat hier erst eine Pflegeausbildung am Wannsee erfolgreich abgeschlossen und danach Pharmazie an der Freien Universität Berlin studiert. Nach der islamischen Revolution in ihrem Heimatland, dem Iran, wollte sie nicht mehr zurück gehen und blieb in Berlin. Sie gründete eine Familie und bekam eine Tochter.
Sie fing 1985 an in der Cäcilien Apotheke zu arbeiten. Die Apotheke ist eine der ältesten Berlins, Anno 1906, also feinster Jugendstil. Das Interieur ist komplett aus Zitronenholz, sehr hell und sehr selten bei Apotheken aus dieser Zeit. Dennoch ist alles original erhalten und einen Besuch wert.
Nach 35 Jahren in dieser tollen Apotheke, geht Suri Farah nun in die wohlverdiente Rente und gibt die Apotheke zum 31.12.2020 an Frau Mai Trang Luu-Frieling weiter.
