Dokumente und Ausstellungsstücke aus dem Besitz der Hofgärtner illustrieren die Facetten gärtnerischer Arbeit vom Planzeichnen und Vermessen bis zur Blumenkultur, schildern Ausbildungswege und Karrierechancen und verdeutlichen ihre gehobene soziale Stellung.
Die „Galerie der preußischen Hofgärtner“ gibt in einer Zusammenschau aus Porträts und Illustrationen einen Überblick über Biografien und Werke. Im Gartensaal des Schlosses Glienicke vermitteln Veduten aus dem 18. und 19. Jahrhundert einen lebendigen Eindruck der Landschaft zur Lebenszeit der Hofgärtner.
