Meine Meinung
Letzte Woche habe ich mir in der Bibliothek „Finding Sky“ ausgeliehen und hätte niemals gedacht, dass es danach zu meinen Lieblingsbüchern gehören würde. Eigentlich hatte ich es mir nur ausgeliehen, weil ich kein anderes Buch gefunden habe und ich den Klappentext ganz gut fand.
Zuerst muss ich sagen, dass dieses Cover und auch die anderen Cover der Benedicts-Reihe so schön sind! Sie passen alle wirklich gut zusammen und ich finde die Verzierungen um den Titel herum wirklich zauberhaft. Außerdem sage ich eigentlich so gut wie nie etwas zum Titel, aber dieser hier ist so „einfach“ und passt wunderbar zur Geschichte. „Finde Sky“ oder ein anderes namens „Rette Phoenix“ sind schlichte und trotzdem schöne Titel, die eine tolle Verbindung zum Inhalt haben.
Direkt nach dem 1. Kapitel habe ich gemerkt, wie gut dieses Buch wirklich ist. Es hat mich ziemlich oft an Obsidian (die Lux-Reihe) erinnert, was aber auf keinen Fall ein negativer Aspekt ist, denn Finding Sky erschien davor und man kann sie nur oberflächlich miteinander vergleichen. Sky und Zed, die Hauptprotagonisten, ähneln Katy und Daemon doch schon sehr und auch wegen den Fantasy-Elementen gibt es meiner Meinung nach einige Gemeinsamkeiten.
Da kann ich auch gleich zu den Charakteren kommen. Sky ist ein ziemlich schüchterner, freundlicher und süßer Mensch, die ihre wahren Eltern nie richtig kennengelernt hat. Alle lachen freundschaftlich immer gerne über ihre englischen Wurzeln und ihren Akzent. Zed dagegen ist ein stiller, arroganter und besserwisserischer Junge, bis er herausfindet, dass Sky sein Seelenspiegel ist. Er wird plötzlich zum unglaublichsten Jungen der Erde, schleppt am Anfang ihre Einkäufe nach Hause und klingelt mit einem Rosenstrauß mitten am Morgen bei ihr. Da Sky aber von Seelenspiegel und Savants keine Ahnung hat, ist sie sichtlich verwirrt.
Ich habe lange nicht mehr so herzlich gelacht, dieses Buch hat wirklich viel Humor und war sehr amüsant! Manche Seiten habe ich sogar mehrfach gelesen, weil ich wie ein kleines Schulmädchen hinter hervor gehaltener Hand kichern musste. Zed kann unglaublich gute Witze bringen und Sky kann mehr, als nur schüchtern zu sein. Sie war mir sehr sympathisch, vor allem auch, weil sie nicht von einem Tag zum anderen eine Heldin wurde. Das passiert in vielen Büchern ja, aber hier hat sich das sehr realistisch angefühlt.
Vielleicht haben die, die das Buch nicht kennen sich erst mal gefragt, was zum Himmel ein Savant oder ein Seelenspiegel sein soll. Savants nennt man die Gruppe von Menschen, die besondere, individuelle Fähigkeiten besitzen, Telekinese beherrschen aber alle. Sky hat zum Beispiel die Gabe, Auren von anderen zu sehen. Zed und seine Mutter dagegen können kleine Stücke aufschnappen, die in Zukunft passieren werden. Bei dem Rest der anderen Brüder gibt es alles, von der Gabe zu heilen bis hi zum Flammen auslösen. Zed und Sky sind Seelenspiegel, das heißt, dass sie miteinander verbunden sind. Alle Savants fühlen sich ohne ihren Seelenspiegel unvollkommen und können mit der Zeit, in der sie ihren Seelenspiegel suchen, Problee bekommen, da ihre Stimmung wütend und sauer ist. Das Problem ist natürlich, dass es Savants auf der ganzen Welt gibt, was es so viel schwerer macht, seinen Seelenspiegel zu finden.
Jetzt sollte eigentlich allen klar sein, dass hier vieeeel Liebe im Spiel ist. 😉 Sky und Zed (ich sollte mir mal einen Shipnamen ausdenken) passen wunderbar zueinander und um die Liebesgeschichten kommt man nicht drum herum. Ich mochte auch alle Nebenprotagonisten sehr, Zed hat nämlich 6 Brüder: Trace, Uriel, Victor, Will, Xav und Yves. (Wow, das konnte ich auswendig. 🙂 ) Sie, Zeds Eltern und auch Skys Eltern sind ein gemischter Haufen, die man nur lieben kann.
Der Schreibstil war locker und einfach geschrieben. Joss Stirling hat sehr viel Talent und ich finde es toll, dass mein 1. Buch in diesem Jahr jetzt zu meinen Lieblingen gehört.
Die Spannung im Buch unglaublich groß und in diesem Punkt hatte ich nie das Gefühl, zu wissen, was als nächstes passieren würde. Es gibt natürlich auch böse Savants, die einem das Leben echt schwer machen können. Viele spannende Sachen passierten, wo man stark mitgefiebert hatte, aber ich will nicht zu viel verraten.
Fazit
Von A bis Z war alles perfekt. Ich finde keinen Fehler und bin gerade dabei, den 2. Band zu lesen und kaufe mir am Wochenende Band 3 und 4. 😀 Ich flehe euch an, holt euch die Leseprobe und werdet genauso vernarrt nach dieser Reihe, wie ich. 5 von 5 Lesepunkte!
