Der 21. Kinderkarneval der Kulturen steht unter dem Motto „Robbe“. Gefeiert wird am Pfingstsamstag mit einem Kostümumzug und Kinderkarnevalsfest in Kreuzberg.

Der Kinderkarneval beginnt gegen 13:30 Uhr mit einem bunten Kostümumzug durch Kreuzberg auf dem Mariannenplatz. Viele kostümierte Kindergruppen ziehen mit ihren selbst gebastelten Wagen, mit Musik, Tanz und ihren erlernten Choreographien quer durch Kreuzberg. Erwarten werden ca. 3.000 Kinder, Eltern und Erzieher.

Motto 2017: Auf die Flossen. Fertig. Los!

Das Motto-Tier 2016 war der Löwe, in diesem Jahr ist die Robbe. Es existieren über 30 verschiedene Arten in der Familie der Robben, zu welchen auch die Seeelefanten, Walrosse oder Seelöwen zählen. In Schul- und regelmäßigen Wochenkursen werden Kostüme und Umzugswagen gestaltet, sowie Musik- und Tanzbeiträge zum Bühnenprogramm erarbeitet.

Malwettbewerb zum 21. Kinderkarneval der Kulturen

Alle Kinder bis 12 Jahre sind wieder aufgefordert, ihre Fantasien zur „Robbe“ zu Papier zu bringen (malen, zeichnen, Collagen kleben, Skulpturen basteln etc.) und an die KMA (Kreuzberger Musikalische Aktion e.V.) zu senden. Die Adresse des KMA ist die Friedrichstraße 2 in 10969 Berlin. Eine Jury begutachtet alle Einsendungen und nominiert die Gewinner, deren Arbeiten auf dem offiziellen Kinderkarnevals-Plakat abgebildet werden. Einsendeschluss für den Malwettbewerb ist der 17. März 2017.

Kinderkarnevalsfest im Görlitzer Park

Der Karnevalsumzug führt wieder in den Görlitzer Park, wo von 15 bis 19 Uhr das große Kinderkarnevalsfest gefeiert wird. Dort präsentieren Kinder und Jugendliche ein künstlerisches Programm auf mehreren Bühnen. Außerdem gibt es Spieleangebote wie z.B. Hüpfburgen, Wasserspiele, Karussels und viele weitere (meist kostenlose) Spielangebote. Fast schon traditionell findet auch wieder die Kinderralley statt und es gibt eine nietenfreie Tombola.

Alle Kinder-, Jugend- und Kultureinrichtungen haben die Möglichkeit, sich mit einem Stand oder einem Spiel zu beteiligen. Insgesamt werden 20 000 Besucher und Besucherinnen erwartet. Der Kinderkarneval wird seit 20 Jahren von der Kreuzberger Musikalischen Aktion e.V. (KMA) veranstaltet. Erwartet werden ca. 30.000 Teilnehmer und Besucher.
