Gemeinsam mit Ramona Pop, Wirtschaftssenatorin und Aufsichtsratschefin der Berliner Wasserbetriebe, dem Finanzvorstand Frank Bruckmann und Jeannette Borchert, die die Arche im Wedding leitet, wurden gestern bei einem kleinen feierlichen Akt die neuen Trinkwasserspender übergeben. „Wir finden die Arbeit der Arche großartig und freuen uns, dass wir sie mit unseren Trinkwasserspendern unterstützen können“, sagt Frank Bruckmann. „Die Kinder und Jugendlichen, welche nach der Schule keinen Anlaufpunkt haben, sind in der Arche willkommen, finden Unterstützung, Zuwendung und viele Freizeitmöglichkeiten.“ Und Ramona Pop fügt an : „Die Trinkwasserspender für die Arche sind nicht nur eine tolle Unterstützung für ein ausgezeichnetes Projekt. Sie tragen auch enorm zur gesunden Versorgung der jungen Arche-Besucherinnen und -Besucher bei. Trinkwasser aus der Leitung ist gesund und umweltfreundlich und gehört deshalb eigentlich in jede Schule, Kita und Freizeiteinrichtung.“ „Bei unseren jungen Besucherinnen und Besuchern ist der Wasserspender enorm beliebt“, sagt Jeannette Borchert, Leiterin der Arche-Einrichtung in der Brienzer Straße im Wedding. „Sie löschen ihren Durst auf Knopfdruck, und das auch noch immer frisch und zuckerfrei.“

Sie unterstützt Kinder und Jugendliche dabei ihre Potenziale zu entdecken, fördert Talente und wappnet sie für ein selbständiges Leben. Mittlerweile gibt es mehr als 25 Standorten in ganz Deutschland und über 4.000 Kinder und Jugendliche könne die kostenlosen Angebote nutzen. Weitere Ableger gibt es zudem in der Schweiz und in Polen.
