Die Fleet Foxes, das Quintett aus Seattle, kommt bereits im Juni für eine überaus exklusive Show nach Berlin. Eigentlich wollte die Band hier erst im Herbst auf Tour gehen, um die Songs ihres neuen Albums „Crack-Up“ live zu spielen. Doch nun haben sie sich entschieden, rund um den Erscheinungstermin am 16. Juni einige ganz besondere Konzerte zu geben. Auf die Fleet Foxes-Fans in Berlin wartet darüber hinaus noch ein besonderes Schmankerl: Wer sich bereits ein Ticket für den Auftritt in der Columbiahalle am 13. November gesichert hat, bekommt ein Vorkaufsrecht für die Clubshow im Festsaal eingeräumt! Inhaber haben die Chance, sich bereits 24 Stunden vor dem normalen Vorverkaufsstart ihre Eintrittskarte zu sichern.
Auf „Crack-Up“ schöpfen die Fleet Foxes wieder alle Möglichkeiten des Harmoniegesangs aus. Dabei haben die Jungs bestimmt wieder neue Sounds entdeckt, die wir noch nicht kannten. Dafür spricht nicht nur der relativ lange Aufnahme- und Produktionszeitraum von gut einem halben Jahr, in dem die Fleet Foxes in gleich sechs Studios waren. Auch die bislang zwei Vorgeschmäcker sprechen dafür: Zunächst erschien mit „Third of May/Ōdaigahara“ ein Track, der schon jetzt ein Anwärter für den „Pet Sounds“-Gedächtnis-Award ist. Dieses knapp neunminütige Epos wird getragen vom Piano, einer elektrischen zwölfsaitigen Gitarre, einem Streichquartett und jenen gleißenden Harmonien, für die Fleet Foxes bekannt sind. Vor wenigen Tagen folgte mit „Fool’s Errand“ ein zweites grandioses Video, das die Foxes auf der künstlerischen Höhe der Zeit zeigt und die Vorfreude noch weiter steigert – nicht nur auf das Album, sondern vor allem auch auf die Live-Shows!
