Die Multimedia-Schau neu vertont von „Stummfilm-Graf“ Stephan von Bothmer am Flügel

Die erfolgreiche Multimedia-Ausstellung „Von Monet bis Kandinsky.Visions Alive“ präsentiert in der Alten Münze Berlin seit Juli 2017 die Werke der sechzehn bedeutendsten Maler der klassischen Moderne in einer atemberaubenden Kombination aus animierter Video-Projektion auf riesigen Leinwänden und ausgewählter Musik in Dolby Surround.

Vom 15. bis zum 18. März 2018 ist die Ausstellung jetzt noch einmal ganz anders zu erleben, mit einer anderen Musik – neu und live vertont von Deutschlands bekanntestem Stummfilm-Pianisten Stephan Graf von Bothmer.

Der Erfinder der populären „Stummfilmkonzerte“ hat eine völlig eigene kompositorische Herangehensweise entwickelt, an die 950 Filme mit neuer Musik versehen und damit bislang 170.000 Menschen auf fünf Kontinenten begeistert, in intimen Theatern ebenso wie in großen Hallen oder auf Festivals. Mit seiner zeitgemäßen Musik macht er die Werke auf überraschende und tiefgreifend emotionale Weise neu erfahrbar. Seinen ausgeprägten Sinn für Experimente bewies er u.a. mit der Dramatisierung von WM- und EM-Fußballübertragungen.

Nun stellt er sich einer weiteren künstlerischen Herausforderung und interpretiert live am Flügel die Bilderfolge aus sechzehn animierten Kurz-Filmen, die jeweils die Schlüsselwerke der revolutionären Künstler des 19./20. Jahrhunderts vorstellen. Mit Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Henri Rousseau, Paul Gauguin, Vincent van Gogh, Gustav Klimt, Paul Signac, Edvard Munch, Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, Wassily Kandinsky, Piet Mondrian, Kasimir Malewitsch, Paul Klee, Amedeo Modigliani und Juan Gris reicht die Bandbreite von den Impressionisten über die Expressionisten bis hin zu Konstruktivisten und Kubisten.

Die Konzerte finden am 15.3., 16.3., 17.3. und 18.3. jeweils um 20 Uhr statt und dauern ca. eine Stunde.
Der Eintritt (inklusive Konzert) kostet 25 Euro / ermäßigt 15 Euro. Tickets online bei www.eventbrite.de.

Die Ausstellung ist noch bis 30. Juni 2018 täglich von 10 bis 20 Uhr geöffnet.
