Während der Plattenladenwoche locken die Berliner Plattenläden mit Veranstaltungen und Sonderveröffentlichungen die Menschen in ihre Läden.
Die Plattenläden feiern sich selbst und das zu Recht. Noch immer sind fast drei Viertel des Musikmarktes physisch, was bedeutet, das drei von vier Euro für CDs, DVDs oder Schallplatten ausgegeben werden.
Über die Plattenladenwoche
Die Plattenladenwoche wurde erstmalig 2009 vom Fachhandelsverband AMM veranstaltet, um den Plattenladen als kulturelle Institution ins Gedächtnis zu rufen. Seit 2011 wählt sich die Plattenladenwoche jährlich ein Motto, auf das unter den vielfältigen Aktionen und Events ein besonderes Augenmerk gelegt wird.
Motto 2017: „Lieder-Macher“
Das Thema der Plattenladenwoche 2017 sind „Lieder-Macher“. Damit liegt ein besonderes Augenmerk auf deutschsprachiger Musik und den Singer/Songwritern. Johannes Oerding übernimmt die Schirmherrschaft der Veranstaltungen und wird sie am 16. Oktober mit einem Unplugged-Konzert im Hamburger Plattenladen Michelle Records offiziell eröffnen.
