Er will ihr nahe sein, aber diese Schwäche kann er sich nicht erlauben. Sich in Katy zu verlieben würde nicht nur sie in Gefahr bringen – es könnte auch das Ende der Lux bedeuten.

Meine Meinung
„Oblivion“ ist von der Handlung her genauso wie „Obsidian“, nur aus der Sicht von Daemon, dem männlichen Protagonisten erzählt. Und es war fantastisch. Phänomenal. Atemberaubend. Und romantisch. SO romantisch!

Grundsätzlich finde ich, dass man das Buch auch vor den anderen lesen kann aber ich persönlich würde nach der Reihenfolge gehen. Katy hat anfangs nämlich noch keine Ahnung von all den Geheimnissen und so werden wir mit ihr zusammen aufgeklärt. In diesem Buch dagegen ist es aus Daemons Sicht, der schon alles weiß und wenn man die anderen Bücher nicht kennt, kann es schwierig werden.

Ich bin sehr langsam mit diesem Buch gewesen und habe ein bis zwei Wochen gebraucht, um es zu lesen. Mit Absicht. 😉 Die Lux-Bücher sind meine absolute Lieblingsreihe und Armentrout ist meine Lieblingsautorin, von daher wusste ich, dass mir auch dieser Band gefallen würde. Ich habe mir sehr viel Zeit gelassen, Stellen oder auch 1-2 Kapitel nochmal gelesen, um das Buch richtig genießen zu können.

Viele hatten ja einige Zweifel, ob dieses Buch denn wirklich gut wäre, denn es ist ja nur „Obsidian“ aus einer anderen Sichtweise erzählt. Manche fanden auch, dass man dadurch nur noch mehr Geld verdienen wollte aber nach dem Lesen konnte ich keinem einzigen Punkt zustimmen. Man hat wirklich die Mühe gesehen, die auch in dieses Buch gesteckt wurde. Es war wundervoll! Außerdem war nicht alles genau gleich, denn Daemon war natürlich nicht 24 Stunden am Tag bei Katy und so konnten wir interessante Gespräche mitverfolgen, von denen wir zum Beispiel nichts wussten.

Ich liebe den Carlsen Verlag dafür, dass sie die Cover der Reihe so wundervoll gestaltet haben. Sorry not sorry aber die englischen Cover finde ich wirklich, wirklich hässlich. Auch bei „Oblivion“ kam mal wieder was wunderschönes zustande und ich bin froh, dass es genauso hübsch ist, wie die anderen.

Daemon und Katy, die Protagonisten, sind nach 5 Bänden immer noch nicht langweilig geworden. Wir haben die Zeit praktisch zurückgedreht und konnten deren Entwicklungen nochmal von vorne erleben.
Katy zieht nebenan ein und trotz den gemeinen Sprüchen und Feindseligkeiten Daemons aus, bleibt sie stark und lässt sich von ihm nicht heruntermachen. Mit ihr kann man sich identifizieren und ihre Handlung sind vollkommen nachvollziehbar. Da ihre Mutter sehr lange arbeitet, hat sie viele Freiheiten und ist übrigens Buchbloggerin und liebt das Lesen (wer kann sie jetzt noch hassen?). 😉 Sie ist eine fantastische Person, die lustig, nett und toll ist. Und wie Daemon immer sagt: Ein Kätzchen ist. Eigentlich nicht gefährlich aber wenn sie will, dann kann sie ihre Krallen richtig ausfahren! Sie gehört definitiv zu meinen Lieblingsprotagonisten…

Ich fand es sehr interessant zu sehen, wie alles aus Daemons Sicht betrachtet, ist. Viele Dinge die man in „Obsidian“ gelesen hat, hat man so aufgefasst, wie Katy es eben gedacht hat. Hier haben wir aber gesehen, dass Daemon es meist gar nicht so gemeint hat und doch kein so großes Arschloch ist. Er will einfach seine Familie beschützen und nicht noch mehr Ärger an der Backe haben. Seine Gefühls- und Gedankenwelt wurden fantastisch rübergebracht! Trotzdem ist er ein „Badboy“: frech, charmant und verdammt gutaussehend. Er zieht einen total in seinen Bann und ich liebe ihn mit ganzem Herzen. Nach dem Lesen von „Oblivion“ sogar noch mehr und ich wusste wirklich nicht, dass das geht!

Jennifer L. Armentrout hat einen schönen, einfach zu lesenden Schreibstil, bei dem man nie meckern konnte. Egal, bei welchem Buch. Er ist flüssig und hat sich mit der Zeit nur verbessert.

Dadurch, dass wir die Handlung natürlich schon kannten, vermutet man wahrscheinlich, dass es nicht so spannend war. Und auch wenn ich immer wusste, was als nächstes geschieht, war die Spannung trotzdem da. Das Buch war ein totaler Pageturner! Daemon hat einen einfach total in seinen Bann gezogen und ich musste mich echt zusammenreißen, das Buch nicht an einem Tag durchzulesen. Man will immer wissen, was Daemon sich bei der nächsten Situation gedacht hat, was er eigentlich sagen wollte und wie es dann falsch rüberkam und wie er sich selbst für so vieles die Schuld gibt. Es war so toll. Daemon ist SO toll und ich bin überglücklich, dass das Buch mich genauso wie die anderen fünf begeistern konnte.

Fazit
Ich liebe diese Reihe, ich liebe die Autorin, ich liebe Daemon. Alles war perfekt und ich hoffe, ihr könnt mir da zustimmen! Gehört zu meinen Lesehighlights 2017 und ich vergebe ´deswegen natürlich 5 von 5 Lesesterne!
