Die New Yorker Ausnahmekünstlerin Jocelyn B. Smith veröffentlicht ihr langersehntes Album „Shine Ur Light“ mit jeweils 14 unterschiedlichen Songs am 04.10.2019.

Um dieses mitreißende Album zu kreieren arbeitete sie mit ihrem Produzenten Volker Schlott 2 Jahre zusammen.

Mit „Shine Ur Light“ versucht Smith eine klare Botschaft zu setzten „Wir verlieren zu viel Zeit damit, uns mit Dingen im Außen zu beschäftigen anstatt mit uns selbst.“ Sie versucht mit ihrer Musik die Menschen zu motivieren, sich stärker zu reflektieren, um zu denken und sich von den manipulierenden Industrien weg zu bewegen.

Was Smiths Musik so Besonders macht sind die Erfahrungen als Komponistin, Sängerin und Produzentin die sie gesammelt hat. Auch ihre Fähigkeiten als Lehrerin, Coach und Social Activist haben sie auf diesem Weg beeinflusst. Und so ist sie das geworden was sie jetzt ist.

Das besondere an Jocelyn ist ihr starkes soziales Engagement vor allem für Obdachlose und sozial Benachteiligte. Dafür hat sie doch tatsächlich im vergangenen Jahr vom Bundespräsidenten Frank-Walter Steinmeier eine Auszeichnung bekommen die für das Motto „Kultur Verbindet“ steht.

Sie hat auch als Künstlerin 2015 eine Soziale und Kulturelle Bewegung die mit „Shine Ur Light“ in Verbindung steht in die Welt gesetzt. Diese basiert auf transformativen Bildungen mittlerweile zählen schon 40 Persönlichkeiten zu den „Shine Ur Light“ Botschaftern.
