Das Format „POOL Shine – New York Traces“ eröffnet das Festival POOL 18 – INTERNATIONALES TanzFilmFestival BERLIN, am 12.09.18 mit einer historischen Spurensuche: Filmchoreografien, die im Austausch zwischen Künstler*innen des postmodernen Tanzes, der Bildenden Kunst und der Experimentalfilmszene im New York der 60er bis 90er Jahre entstanden sind, werden dem Publikum präsentiert. Beteiligte Künstler*innen sind Elaine Summers, Meredith Monk, Yoshiko Chuma, Pooh Kaye, Henry Hills, Douglas Dunn und Rudy Burckhardt. Yoshiko Chuma und Douglas Dunn werden zum Screening anwesend sein. Eine Ausstellung bietet während der Festivaltage weiterführendes Material.
