Beim 107. Sechstagerennen können sich alle Radsport-Begeisterten auch in diesem Jahr wieder darauf freuen, Radsportler in den Sixdays-Wettbewerben sowie in den Sprint- und Steher-Turnieren zu erleben und spannende Rennen zu sehen. Das sportliche Geschehen wird von einem Showprogramm für Jung und Alt begleitet. Namhafte Bands und Interpreten werden sechs Tage lang die Veranstaltung abrunden.
Sixdays-Showhalle und Familiensonntag
2014 wurde die Showhalle zu einem “Live – Partydrom“ umgebaut. Mit der Berliner Kult-Partyband „Right Now“ wurde in der Showhalle an fast allen Tagen dann richtig gefeiert. Über 4 Stunden spielte die Band die Partyhits der 80er und 90er Jahre sowie aktuelle Top-Hits. Der Sonntag gehört traditionell den Familien. Der Sixdays-Familiensonntag lädt zu verschiedenen Mitmach-Aktionen ein. So können die Kids mit ihren Eltern das Kinderparadies in der Showhalle besuchen. Angefangen von einem Märchenkarussel über Kinderschminken bis hin zum Luftballon-Modellieren und einem Kinder-Bungee-Trampolin ist alles dabei.
Levy und Förstemann führen Sprinterfeld an
Der mehrfache Weltmeister Maximilian Levy und für den SSV Gera startende Robert Förstemann führen das Sprinterfeld beim Sechstagerennen 2018 an. Die Belgier Moreno de Pauw und Kenny de Ketele sowie der Cottbuser Straßenprofi Roger Kluge aus Cottbus sind die Stars des Hauptrennens.
