Wenn bei dem Jagdhornbläser schmackhaft zubereitetes Wild auf den Tisch kommt, dann ist das Wildbret natürlich selbst erlegt. Dabei schätzt er die mediterrane Küche mit frischen Zutaten und Kräutern aus dem Garten. Der Umgang des Jägers mit allen Facetten der Jagd brachte zahlreiche Kontakte zur Gastronomie mit sich. Daraus entstand der Gedanke zu diesem Buch. Ingolf Hatz, 1964 in Stuttgart geboren, arbeit seit über fünfzehn Jahren erfolgreich als Fotograf für Magazine, Verlage und Werbekunden. Neben der Auftragsfotografie konzentriert er sich vor allem auf freie Buchprojekte und Ausstellungen. Gemeinsam mit Julia Hildebrand, mit der Hatz ein Fotostudio betreibt, gewann er im Jahre 2015 den Gourmand World Cookbook Award für das »81,6 kg – Food Art Book«. Nach ihrer Ausbildung zur Fotografin in einem renommierten Stuttgarter Werbestudio nahm Julia Hildebrand das Fotodesign-Studium an der Hochschule München mit Schwerpunkt Experimentelle Fotografie auf. Seit 2010 arbeitet sie für Redaktionen und Werbekunden als freischaffende Fotografin in den Bereichen Food und Stilllife.
