Berlin ist gross, bunt und vielseitig – eine weltoffene Stadt voller Möglichkeiten. Das ist leicht gesagt … Den eigenen beruflichen Weg im Dschungel aller Möglichkeiten zu finden, fällt jungen Schulabgänger*innen nicht einfach so aufs Pausenbrot. Die Berliner Ausbildungsinitiative #seiDUAL bietet Jugendlichen durch enge Vernetzung mit Berliner Unternehmen konkrete Orientierungshilfe mit Praxisbezug. Das auf direkten Austausch mit kleinen und mittelständischen Unternehmen (KMU) basierende Modellprojekt ist gerade mit seiner berlinweit angelegten Veranstaltungsreihe „Kulturbuntes Matching“ in Friedrichshain an den Start gegangen. Weitere Bezirks-Aktionen folgen.
Networking – gut vernetzt zu sein – ist in Berlin das A und O. Das geht schon in der Schule los und die sozialen Netzwerke bieten ein gutes Übungsterrain. Aber mit Realität hat das nicht viel zu tun: das eine ist ein hermetisch geschützter Raum, das andere ein digitaler „Plappermarktplatz“. Es gilt beides an einem Ort zusammenzubringen. Denn ein zielorientierter Austausch mit Gleichgesinnten und potenziellen Ausbildungsbetrieben ist ein großer Schritt in Richtung echtes Berufsleben. Aus diesen Überlegungen heraus hat die Berliner Agentur elsweyer+hoffmann im Auftrag von der Senatsverwaltung für Integration, Arbeit und Soziales die Berliner Ausbildungsinitiative #seiDUAL konzipiert und Anfang 2018 auf den Weg gebracht. In den nächsten Monaten werden 9. und 10. Klassen von ISS sowie OSZ-Schüler*innen der BQ- und IBA-Lehrgängen den #seiDual-Parcours durchlaufen. Schirmherr des Projekts ist der Regierende Bürgermeister von Berlin, Michael Müller.
Die direkte Vermittlung von Ausbildungs- und Praktikumsplätzen im eigenen Bezirk ist das Hauptziel der #seiDUAL – Kulturbuntes Matching-Veranstaltungsreihe, die bei lockerer Atmosphäre im Jugendclub Skandal in Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg ihren Start hatte. Auch Rathäuser, Bezirksämter oder Kultureinrichtungen in den Bezirken sind als zukünftige „Kiezlocations“ angedacht. Wichtig ist eine Verortung innerhalb des eigenen Bezirks.
Ich kann Karriere, was kannst Du?
25 Schüler*innen der Lina-Morgenstern-Gemeinschaftsschule haben exemplarisch beim ersten Probelauf die Möglichkeit praxisnah und unter persönlicher Anleitung einen Einblick in die Berufsfelder der drei großen Branchen Hotellerie & Gastgewerbe, Einzelhandel und Baugewerbe bekommen.
Und das ging so: Wie ein sportliches Zirkeltraining von etwa drei Stunden, durchläuft jeweils eine Schulklasse in kleinen Gruppen mehrere sogenannte „Action-Points (AP)“. Nach einer kurzen Einweisung führen die Schüler*innen gemeinsam mit Ausbildungsleiter*innen, Personaler*innen und Auszubildenden von Betrieben berufspraktische Aufgaben an Berufsfeld-Stationen durch. So lernen sie vor allem praktisch über kleine Übungseinheiten die verschiedenen Berufe kennen. In kurzen Workshops wie Cocktails mixen und Kräuter-Quiz (AP: Andel’s Hotel der Vienna Group), dem Steuern eines (echten!) Baggers (AP: BUG Verkehrsbau AG), Wraps – schneller gesunder Snack (AP: Hauswirtschaft), Raumausstattungsübungen mit Stoffen, Tapeten- und Farbmustern (AP: Blue Living am Südstern), nehmen sie Impulse aus den Branchen auf, die sie nachhaltig für die jeweiligen Ausbildungsberufe sensibilisieren sollen. Der Ausbildungsverantwortliche bei der BUG Verkehrsbau AG Thomas Lehmann hat aktuell 40 Auszubildende unter seiner Fittiche. Jedes Jahr werden zehn bis fünfzehn neu eingestellt. Und das für inzwischen sieben Berufe: von Baugeräteführer*innen über Elektroniker*innen bis zu angehenden Hoch- und Tiefbauexpert*innen in verschiedenen Segmenten. Auch ein duales Studium als Bauingenieur*in ist Teil des Ausbildungsangebots. „Um die Stellen zu besetzen, müsse eine Firma heute weitaus aktiver werden als noch vor einigen Jahren,“ sagt Lehmann, der regelmäßig auf Messen oder Börsen unterwegs ist und das Projekt sehr befürwortet. „Den Nachwuchs für einen Beruf zu begeistern, gelingt vor allem dann, wenn man selbst begeistert ist,“ fügt er hinzu und weist darauf hin, dass von seinen Auszubildenden eine Menge verlangt werde. Zum Beispiel wenn es auf Montage außerhalb von Berlin geht, sind sie oft mit dabei.“ Das müsse jedem klar sein und das Umfeld mitspielen“. Aufgewogen werde das unter anderem mit einem ziemlich guten Verdienst schon in der Ausbildung.
Michaela Papies plädiert dafür sich offensiv um die zukünftigen Azubis zu bemühen. Sie ist die Personalverantwortliche im Andel’s Hotel der Vienna Group und setzt vor allem auf Motivation,denn gerade im Berufszweig Hotellerie & Gastgewerbe gibt es viele Möglichkeiten und Perspektiven. Allem sollte die Frage voraus gehen „Worin bist du richtig gut?“.
Einer weiteren Vertiefung dient die direkte Auswertung im Anschluss der Praxiserfahrung, in der die Klassen ihre Erkenntnisse unter Anleitung auswerten. Fragen wie: „Was hat besonders gefallen, wurden die Erwartungen erfüllt?“ oder „Was nimmt man mit nach Hause?“, geben dabei den letzten Anstoß zum nächsten Schritt in Richtung berufliche Zukunft. Setcards mit Kontaktinformationen über den Betrieb bzw. den*die Schüler*in selbst erleichtern dabei die gegenseitige Kontaktaufnahme.
Der Arbeitstitel „Kulturbuntes Matching“ hat aber nichts mit einer bunten Spielwiese zu tun, sondern bezieht sich auf die interkulturelle Begegnung: In den ausgewählten Klassen sind ein großer Anteil der Schüler Geflüchtete, die damit eine reelle Chance bekommen können, ihre Berufschancen zu erhöhen und sich langfristig zu integrieren.
Das gemeinsame Erlebnis steht also im Mittelpunkt: Während der aktiven Zusammenarbeit zwischen Schüler*innen und Betrieben entsteht genügend Raum für Fragen und Anregungen. Umso wichtiger ist hier der direkte Kontakt der 14-16-Jährigen zu den Unternehmen im Bezirk, der durch die lockere und offene Atmosphäre eine Anbahnung von Praktika und Ausbildungsverhältnissen erleichtert. Die Angst vor der Kontaktaufnahme wird gruppendynamisch gesenkt. Auf den Promo-Rucksäcken, die die Schüler*innen als Goodie mitnehmen dürfen, prangt der aufmunternde Spruch: „Ich kann Karriere, #waskannstdu?“. Prall gefüllt mit neuem Input, aber trotzdem leichter durch die abgebauten Hemmschwellen, tragen ihn die Schüler*innen nach Hause.
#seiDUAL – das ist ein sanfter, aber sehr gezielter Anschubser – das Theoretische realitätsnah mit der Praxis zu verbinden, um mit Begeisterung und Motivation die ersten wichtigen Entscheidungen für das spätere Berufsleben zu treffen.
