Die KulturBrauerei ist ein architektonisch einzigartiges, 25.000m² großes Bauensemble. Es steht seit 1974 unter Denkmalschutz und gehört zu den wenigen heute noch gut erhaltenen Berliner Industriearchitekturdenkmälern vom Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts. 1998 wurde die Anlage sorgfältig saniert. Dabei wurde besonders darauf geachtet, den ursprünglichen Charakter des Gebäudeensembles so weit wie möglich zu erhalten und historische mit moderner Architektur wirkungsvoll zu verbinden.
Heute dient das Gelände als Kulturzentrum im Kollwitzkiez, Im Ortsteil Prenzlauer Berg. Verteilt auf sechs Höfe und über 20 Gebäude beherbergt es unter anderem Kinos, Theater, Diskotheken und Veranstaltungsräume, in denen nicht nur Konzerte und Festivals stattfinden, sondern die auch als Proberaum für verschiedene Künstler und Ensembles dient.
Als kleine „Stadt in der Stadt“ bietet die KulturBrauerei ein vielfältiges Kultur- und Unterhaltungsangebot.
