Ab morgen startet die Galerieausstellung im Botanischen Museum!

Pflanzen und Wurzeln sprießen dieses Frühjahr auch in der Galerie des Botanischen Museums. Ein ganz persönliches Herbarium präsentiert die Künstlerin Anne Carnein vom 9. März bis 14. Mai 2017 in der Galerie des Botanischen Museum Berlin. Die zarten Gebilde aus Draht, Kleidung, Stoffen und Garnen sehen verblüffend echt aus. Anne Carnein geht es bei ihrem persönlichen „Herbarium“ aber nicht unbedingt um naturgetreue Nachbildungen. Das Wachsen und Vergehen von Pflanzen macht sie aus der eigenen getragenen Kleidung dinghaft. Ihre dreidimensionalen Pflanzenobjekte entpuppen sich bei näherer Betrachtung als eigenständige Wesen, die auch eine Metapher für Menschen darstellen können.

Anne Carnein lebt und arbeitet im Allgäu. Die gebürtige Rostockerin absolvierte ihr Studium an der Staatlichen Akademie der Künste in Karlsruhe und war bis 2013 Meisterschülerin von Stephan Balkenhol. Ihre Werke waren unter anderem in Ausstellungen in Hamburg, Basel, Mönchengladbach und Ravensburg zu sehen.
