Ich wurde am 15. Juni 1962 in Caracas, Venezuela geboren. Ich bin von Geburt an schwerhörig. Mit Hörgeräten höre ich etwas soviel wie ein normal hörender Mensch, der einen Gehörschutz trägt. Schon früh entdeckte mein Vater meine künstlerische Begabung. In einem Kindermalworkshop im Museum für bildende Kunst in Caracas machte ich meine ersten Erfahrungen mit Formen, Farbe und dem Schreiben von Kurzgeschichten. Mit meinen Arbeiten werden Popsänger, religiöse Ikonen, Ansichten von Städten und Landschaften, Figuren und Menschen, Geschichten die mich beeinflusst haben dargestellt. Ich lebe seit 1994 in Berlin.

Der Berliner Modedesigner Ibrahim López, selbst in Venezuela geboren, will da nicht länger zusehen.
Um etwas dagegen zu unternehmen, hat er mit befreundeten Künstlern und dem Mercure Hotel MOA Berlin ein Benefiz-Event auf die Beine gestellt. Der Erlös des Abends kommt der Stiftung TEJIENDO NIDOS zugute.
Die „Nestbauer“, eine Initiative venezolanischer Künstler, ermöglichen Kindern wenigstens eine Mahlzeit am Tag.
Im Mittelpunkt des Programms steht die Präsentation von REBORN, der aktuellen Herbst-/Winter-Kollektion des Labels Ibrahim López Couture.
López, der zwei Jahre bei der Mode-Legende Vivienne Westwood studierte, erzählt darin ein Märchen um die Heilige Maria, die bei einem Besuch in der Stadt auf die Subkultur der Urban Tribes trifft.
