Schäfchen zählen auf dem Tempelhofer Feld vom 14. bis 21. Oktober 2018

Seit letzten Sonntag, den 14. Oktober grasen an die 150 zauberhafte und fleissig mampfende Schafe auf dem Tempelhofer Feld und betreiben dort acht Tage lang „traditionelle Landschaftspflege“. 

Denn: Schafe sind top Rasenmäher: sie fressen behutsam und „düngen“ gleichzeitig den Boden. Damit bauen sie eine Humus-Schicht auf.

Aber die fleissigen Damen sind natürlich nicht allein: „ihr Papa-Anführer“ ist der Schäfermeister Knut Kucznikaus Altlandsberg in Brandenburg. Er steht mit seinen Schafen immer vormittags für Besuche von Schulklassenund Kindergärten zur Verfügung.

Unter dem Motto “Schäfchenzählen” haben Besucher täglich von 16:30 bis 19 Uhr die Möglichkeit die Schafe zu begleiten, ihrem sanften Schmatzen zuzuhören und sich mit Poesie, Singen, Musizieren oder Vorlesen einzubringen oder einfach dem Schäfer und seinen Geschichten lauschen.

Die Schafs-Beweidung des Tempelhofer Feldes hat Tradition und wurde seit 1992 unterbrochen, aber die Bürgerinitiative Almende hat diese „Aktion“ exemplarisch organisiert, natürlich auch symbolisch, um ein Zeichen zu setzten.

Neben der Sicherung der Biodiversität auf dem Tempelhofer Feld steht die Aktion für die Förderung des Dialogs zwischen Landwirtschaft und Bevölkerung. Ausserdem will man auf die Bedeutung und Krise der Schäferei in Deutschland aufmerksam machen.

Mit Kind und Kegel, Laternen und Lieder mit zum Laternenumzug zu Ehren der Besucher-Schafe auf dem Tempelhofer Feld. Es gibt wieder Geschichten von Schäfer Knut Kucznik, denen man andächtig lauscht während man den Schäfchen eine Gute Nacht sagt.
