Beim «Berlin Mural Fest» entstehen über 80 neue Streetart-Kunstwerke in der ganzen Stadt.
«Nackenstrarre garantiert», so steht es auf der Facebookseite der Initiatoren des ersten «Berlin Mural Fest». Und in der Tat haben die Mitglieder des Berlin Art Bang e.V. im Mai Großes mit der Hauptstadt vor: Über 100 Künstler, darunter etablierte Namen wie die Klebebande oder El Bocho, lassen überall in der Stadt aufwendige Wandbilder, sogenannte «Murals», entstehen und verwandeln so Berlin in eine riesige Open-Air-Galerie.
Wo sind die Kunstwerke des «Berlin Mural Fest» zu sehen?
Die genauen Standorte der 30 neuen Murals werden in Kürze bekannt gegeben. Klar ist, dass neben der Präsentation der Kunstwerke auch diverse Feste am Pfingstwochenende geplant sind.
Teilnehmende Künstler/Artists 2018
Neben Klebebande und El Bocho haben bereits weitere Künstler ihre Teilnahme bestätigt: Ben Wagin, Arsek & Erase, Herakut, Stohead, Saturnoart, Semor, Tasso, Akteone & Cren, Saturno, One Truth, Insane 51, The Weird, Quintessenz und Mr. Woodland.
Rahmenprogramm des «Berlin Mural Fest»
- Berlin Sounds in der Mühlenstraße 6
Am 19. Mai 2018 gibt es in der Zeit von 14 bis 22 Uhr an der East Side Gallery Elektromusik und Live-Paintings. - Blockparty in der Prinzessinnenstraße 16
Zur gleichen Zeit dreht sich in Kreuzberg alles um Hip-Hop und Beatbox-Performances. - Paint Club in der Warschauer Straße 58
Auch in Mitte wird es sportlich. Hier kämpfen am 20. Mai 2018 Künstler mit ihren Grafiktablets um den Titel im Digital Paint Club. Der Paint Club ist von 14 bis 22 Uhr geöffnet.
Zum Finale des Festivals ist am 21. Mai 2018 eine Abschlussparty geplant.
Streetart boomt in der Hauptstadt
Streetart hat derzeit wieder Hochkonjunktur. Nachdem die Urban-Art-Ausstellung «The Haus» im Frühling 2017 rund 80.000 Besucher anlockte, konnte auch die Streetart-Ausstellung «Wandelism» im März diesen Jahres Tausende von Besuchern mit Graffiti, Installationen und zeitgenössischer Kunst begeistern. Das dezentrale «Berlin Mural Fest» verspricht diesen Hype weiter anzuheizen.
