Der Berliner Fotograf Christian Werner (*1977) setzt sich in seinem Werk wiederholt mit der Ästhetik der alten BRD vor der Wiedervereinigung auseinander. 2014 bat ihn ein Freund, das Haus seines kurz zuvor verstorbenen Großvaters zu fotografieren. Die an nur einem Tag entstandenen Fotografien sind sehr persönliche Momentaufnahmen, die viel über die Bewohner sowie die Wohnkultur und Lebensart der BRD erzählen. In den poetischen Bildern ist nichts arrangiert und doch zeigen sie einen ganz eigenständigen Blick des Fotografen auf diese fast verschwundene Welt.

In der Reihe „Blackbox“ werden in regelmäßigen Abständen Ausstellungen zur Plakatgestaltung, Grafik und Fotografie gezeigt. Nach der Präsentation von Grafikdesign rückt mit dieser Ausstellung erstmals das Medium Fotografie in den Blick.

Zur Ausstellung ist ein Katalog erschienen. Die Ausstellung ist eine Kooperation mit dem Kunstpalais Erlangen.
