Ramadan ist für viele Muslime der wichtigste Monat im Jahr. Ein kulturelles Programm nach dem abendlichen Fastenbrechen wird in zahlreichen Städten der Welt veranstaltet.

In diesem Jahr präsentieren ausgewählte Berliner Musiker ihre unterschiedlichen kulturellen Prägungen – von Traditionen der Vergangenheit bis zu modernen, genreübergreifenden Experimenten. Neben acht eigenen Veranstaltungen beteiligen sich in diesem Jahr auch die Partner des Nächte des Ramadan-Netzwerks – einem Zusammenschluss von über 40 Berliner Veranstaltern, Museen, Vereinen, Kinos und Theatern – am Programm.

Das Spektrum des Kulturfestes reicht von Konzerten über Diskussionsrunden zu gemeinsamen Iftar-Abenden. Die Nächte des Ramadan laden in diesem Jahr berlinweit dazu ein, Einblicke in ganz unterschiedliche muslimisch geprägte Kulturen zu gewinnen und darüber hinaus neue Orte zu entdecken und kennen zu lernen.
