Noch bis zum 17. Januar 2017 zeigt das Finnland-Institut die Fotografien von Sami Parkkinen. Im Fokus steht die Beziehung zwischen Vater und Sohn. Vater und Sohn sind in diesem Fall der Künstler und sein Sohn Arvi. Mit „Arvi“ gelang dem finnischen Fotografen im Jahr 21014 auch der internationale Durchbruch. Dieses Motiv war in der London National Portrait Gallery eine Kernfotografie der Ausstellung Taylor Wessing Photographic Portrait Prize. So auf den Fotografen aufmerksam geworden, folgte eine Einladung zum Fotografiefestival Curculation(s) in die französische Hauptstadt. Die Werke des in Helsinki geborenen Künstlers bestechen durch eine einfühlsame und reduzierte Bildsprache. Vater/Sohn – noch bis zum 17. Januar 2017 zu betrachten.
