Das Pictoplasma Berlin ist ein Festival über Figurendesign in Kunst und Grafik und bietet Vorträge, Ausstellungen, Filmvorführungen sowie Performances.
Das Pictoplasma versteht sich als weltweit führendes Festival des zeitgenössischen «Character Design» und bietet eine Konferenz mit Vorträge von mehr als 40 herausragenden Künstlern, Illustratoren und Designern an die Grenzen der zeitgenössischen Charakter Visualisierung.
Designer, Animationen und Character Walk
Mit der Mischung aus Künstlergesprächen und Filmvorführungen, Character Walk und Ausstellungen können sich alle Interessierten einen Eindruck über den heutigen Stand der Bildproduktion verschaffen und auf ein aufschlussreiches und inspirierendes Wochenende voller Kreativität hoffen. Ein Character Walk (Ausstellungsrundgang) führt durch sieben Offspaces in Berlin-Mitte, die Arbeiten von zehn Künstler*innen aus den Genres Illustration, Animation, Digital Design und Comic erstmalig einem Berliner Publikum präsentieren. Start ist am Alten St. Marien- und St. Nikolai-Friedhof: 08. bis 12. Mai 2019, jeweils von 12 bis 20 Uhr. Der Eintritt ist frei.
Zentrale Ausstellung «Inter_Faces» im Silent Green
Die Gruppenausstellung präsentiert «Inter_Faces» künstlerische Arbeiten, die das emotionale Verhältnis zu virtuellen Figuren verhandeln. Zu sehen sind multimediale Installationen, darunter neue, extra für das Pictoplasma 2101 in Auftrag gegebene Arbeiten. Teilnehmende Künstlerinnen und Künstler sind Jeron Braxton, Nikita Diakur, Julian Glander, Eran Hilleli, Elenor Kopka, Peter Millard, Laurie Rowan und Lucas Zanotto. Die Ausstellung ist vom 9. bis 12. Mai täglich von 12 bis 20 eröffnet (Eröffnung 8. Mai ab 18 Uhr). Der Eintritt ist frei.
