DRIVE setzt erfolgreiche Reihe DRIVEN by WORDS fort und lädt zum Dialog— 3. April 2017 unter dem Motto „DRIVEN by WORDS“ bereits zum dritten Mal erfolgreiche Autoren mit ihren aktuellen Werken und lädt das Publikum zur
Diskussion ein.

Neben Moderator Prof. Dr. Rainer Moritz nehmen die Autoren Juliana Kálnay, Adriana Altaras und Gerhard Henschel auf der Bühne Platz. Kálnay stellt ihren Debütroman „Eine kurze Chronik allmählichen Verschwindens“ vor („Dieser Debütroman ist wunderbar“ – Die Welt). Altaras zeigt in „Das Meer und ich waren im besten Alter“ urkomisch, berührend und scharfsinnig, warum die Gegenwart nichts für Feiglinge ist und Gerhard Henschel präsentiert mit „Arbeiterroman“ den siebten Teil seiner detaillierten autobiografischen Familienchronik („Ein unglaubliches literarisches Großprojekt“ – NDR Kultur).
„Mit Kálnay, Altaras und Henschel konnten wir drei Autoren gewinnen, die starke und provokante Themen aufgreifen. Das Volkswagen Group Forum DRIVE ist die Kommunikationsplattform des Konzerns in Berlin. Seit 2015
präsentiert sich der Volkswagen Konzern im Lindencorso zum ersten Mal weltweit mit seinen zwölf Marken und
der Financial Services AG mitten im Herzen der Hauptstadt. In wechselnden Marken- und Themenausstellungen
ist DRIVE die Plattform für Mobilitätsthemen des Konzerns, ergänzt durch ein vielfältiges Rahmenprogramm. Für
Tagungen, Konferenzen und Besprechungen stehen unterschiedliche Räumlichkeiten mit modernster Technik zur
Verfügung. An der Stelle des heutigen Lindencorso stand zuerst das legendäre Café Bauer, eines der ersten
Häuser im Wiener Kaffeehausstil in Berlin. Während des Zweiten Weltkriegs wurde das Gebäude komplett
zerstört. Anschließend entstand an dieser Stelle der Neubau „Lindencorso“, der als Gaststätte und Bürogebäude
diente. Unter anderem beherbergte der Bau im Obergeschoss die Bauakademie der DDR. 1993 wurde das
Gebäude erneut abgerissen. In dreijähriger Bauzeit entstand das heutige Lindencorso.
