Die Ausstellung «Skalar – Reflections on Light and Sound» im Kraftwerk zeigt Installationen des Lichtkünstlers Christopher Bauder: Diese werden von mehrdimensionalen Klängen des Musikers Kangding Ray begleitet.

Bekannt dürfte Christopher Bauder in Berlin vor allem durch seine Installation der «Lichtgrenze» zum 25. Jahrestag des Mauerfalls sein. Seine Lichtinstallationen sind aber auch weltweit in Museen, Ausstellungen, Festivals und Konzerten zu sehen.

Licht und Ton: Eine Reise durch die Welt der Emotionen

Mit bunten Lichtern und mehrdimensionalen Klängen untersucht die Ausstellung, wie Licht und Ton die menschliche Wahrnehmung beeinflussen. Die Besucher sollen beim Zusehen auf eine intensive und emotionale Reise gehen. Mit «Skalar» sollen die Ablenkungen des
Alltags aufgehoben werden und das Publikum kann in eine unwirkliche Parallelwelt eintauchen. Das Kraftwerk ist die ideale Location um diese gewaltige Licht- und Klangskulptur auf sich wirken zu lassen. Zudem gibt es auch noch vier exklusive Live-Performances. Das Projekt wird in Zusammenarbeit mit dem CTM Festival 2018 und dem Kraftwerk Berlin realisiert.
